Our weekly giving represents an act of worship in which we thank God for our blessings and symbolically return the first fruits of our labor as an offering to the Lord. The Bible teaches us to give a tithe or the first ten percent of what we earn to God and God’s work.Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. I Chronicles 16:29
Our tithes and offerings support our church’s ministry and mission. Over the years, we have committed our resources to God, and God has truly blessed and used them to change lives, transform communities and renew the church. Worship, programs for children and teens, adult Bible studies and small groups, pastoral care and support, and community projects are all supported by weekly giving that provides the operating funds for our church.
Your offerings also touch lives around the world through apportionments given to the United Methodist Church.
On 5th Sundays we take a special offering to replenish our Hope Fund. We use these donations to help those in need, where a food voucher or a gas card or such may help them get through. Hope Fund donations can be made at any time. Be sure to write Hope Fund on your envelope when giving at church. At this time Hope Fund is not an option in online giving.
