Lenten Sermon Series: Finding Faith Amid the Questions of Life

Feb 18:  Who Is Jesus?   Scripture: Matthew 16:13-16

Every person needs to grapple with Jesus’ question to his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?’  Christians believe he is “the Christ, the son of the living God.”

Feb 25:  What Matters Most?  Scripture:  Mark 12:28-34

Relationships – with God and others – matter most.

March 4:  Am I Accepted?    Scripture John 8:1-11

Even with our flaws, Jesus loves and accepts us as beloved children of God.

March 11: Where Is God?   Scripture: John 1:1-5, 14

Although God is not limited to working through people, God primarily works through human instruments.

March 18:  What Brings Fulfillment?   Scripture: John 13:1-5, 13-17

True fulfillment comes from serving others.

(Palm Sunday/Confirmation) March 25:  What about Suffering?   Scripture: Matthew 27:27-31

Although God does not prevent suffering; the crucified God fully enters human suffering and works to redeem that suffering.

(Easter) April 1:  Is There Hope?  Scripture:  Matthew 28:1-7

Jesus Christ’s resurrection gives us hope for life and even hope for death.

Highland Hope offers two distinct worship services. If you prefer a service that includes traditional liturgy, singing hymns & gospel with some more current music as well, join us for our 1st service at 8:15 a.m.

If you’re looking for something that’s a little more upbeat, with contemporary worship music provided by our talented worship band, be sure to check out our 2nd service at 10:45 a.m.

If you’re not sure which style fits your needs, why not give each a try? You can pass the time between the morning services by grabbing a free cup of coffee, and joining us at one of the many Church School classes that we offer (for both adults & kids), beginning at 9:30am.

During services, we have age appropriate “Busy Boxes” with things to do and weekly children’s bulletins for kids to take home. Or sit at one of our paper covered tables-markers provided so they can draw and color.

Freedom Floor area is offered to young children
during worship services with parental supervision.

Free nursery services are available during each worship service and Sunday School.

Communion is served the first Sunday of every month. This is an open communion, as it’s the Lord’s Table, not ours.

Stop by this Sunday… We’d love to meet you!
