Stacey and her family moved to Highland in 2001 from Haysville, Kansas. They have been members of Highland Hope since 2007.
Stacey and her husband Jim have two daughters, Jaimee and Jordan. Jaimee and Justin, and their four children Jonah, Jace, Josie and Jude, live next door to Jim and Stacey. Jordan and her husband Dan live in Maryville.
Stacey retired from SIUE in 2017 where she taught communications and public relations for 10 years. She has a servant’s heart for the young and the not so young, serving as our Children’s Ministry Coordinator and our Alzheimer’s Faith Outreach Ambassador.
Stacey was raised in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was active in youth ministry at her church in Kansas where she served as a preschool Sunday school teacher, middle school youth group leader, church camp counselor and LOGOS director, a Wednesday night intergenerational ministry.
Stacey believes we are called to be in relationship with each other. Why? Well, God said so! “The Lord God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” ~ Genesis 2:18, and she is excited to be one of God’s servants at Highland Hope helping to nurture relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
