Highland Hope’s Christian Education program continues to develop passionate lifelong followers of Jesus Christ thanks to the generosity of time and talent by many of our church family members. Several Highland Hope family members have answered the call to teach the youngest to the oldest more about our Lord and Savior.

Preschool through 5th grade classes use “Bible Studies for Life” curriculum that helps kids connect the Bible to their lives in an intentional, age-appropriate and engaging way.

Our middle school and high school class are currently doing a movie based series “Evan Almighty”, a study from Christianity Today.  Learning about keeping an ear out for God’s voice, trust and obey, and random acts of kindness.

We have three adult classes being offered:

1) NOOMA video series. Short 15 min. films explore our world from the perspective of Jesus & promote spiritual reflections on individual life experiences.
Location: Faithfulness Room, Upstairs

2) We will explore Christian topics: Love, Salvation, Faith, Sin, Church and more. Asking: What did these words mean in both old/new testament times? What do they mean to us now & how do we apply them? What do those outside the Christian faith understand these words to mean?
Location: Gentleness Room, Upstairs.

3) Understanding the Bible: a series of Bible book studies that help us understand the Word of God and apply it to life.  Beginning study on 1 Corinthians.
Location: Patience Room, Upstairs.

All classes meet Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Highland Hope.

For more information, contact Stacey Howard, Intentional Faith Development coordinator, at or 618-407-1515.

We are always looking for great volunteers to lead Sunday School classes on a regular basis or be available to substitute when teachers and assistants cannot be there. If this is something you would like to do, please fill out the form below and we will contact you.
