Highland Hope’s Christian Education program continues to develop passionate lifelong followers of Jesus Christ thanks to the generosity of time and talent by many of our church family members. Several Highland Hope family members have answered the call to teach the youngest to the oldest more about our Lord and Savior.

Fall Sunday School

PreK – 5th Grade

Bible Studies for Life” teaches  children about their role in the church and their family as it relates to Jesus through the units, “Loving My Family”  and “Worship God at Church.” They also learn how God created everything in the unit, “God Created the World.” Materials provided.

These stones will remind the people of what the Lord has done. In the future, your children will ask what these stones mean to you. Joshua 4:6

The theme for the 2018-2019 Sunday school year is “Stones of Remembrance.” We can look back to the Book of Joshua to learn more about the Israelites’ stones of remembrance. The stones served as a way for the Israelites to praise God and to remind them of what God had done for them. We will also use our stones to praise God and remind us that God is at work in our lives too.

Adult Classes

Understanding the Bible

A series of Bible book studies that help us understand the Word of God and apply it to our lives. The class will begin with the book of Hebrews. Book cost $6.00

Max Lucado’s “Grace” reminds us that there’s more to grace than we’ve ever imagined. It’s an offer to live a changed life, a call to genuine transformation and the courage to see it through. Don’t let grace pass you by. When you let it in, it will rock your world and change your heart.

Spiritual Giants of Faith

We all need inspiration to lead lives that honor God. Our spiritual struggles are not new, and the stories of those who have gone before can lead the way to our own victories. Together we will discern and learn from their stories. No materials needed.

All classes meet Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Highland Hope.

For more information, contact Stacey Howard, Intentional Faith Development coordinator, at or 618-407-1515.

We are always looking for great volunteers to lead Sunday School classes on a regular basis or be available to substitute when teachers and assistants cannot be there. If this is something you would like to do, please fill out the form below and we will contact you.
