About Kids in Christ and Our Mission…

Kids in Christ is a terrific school-age childcare program based on Christian values. Children are safe and well supervised in a loving and fun atmosphere. Children are encouraged to create, study and positively interact with other children.

Kids in Christ is a non-denominational Christian program sponsored by Highland Hope United Methodist Church. Children engage in Bible stories based on Highland School District’s VIP principle of the month, pray before snacks, listen from time-to-time to Christian music and occasionally watch a Christian video.

In today’s world, children are bombarded with negative advertisements, music, and T.V. programs. We feel the only way to combat the negative effects are to replace them with positive, Christian examples.

Our Philosophy and Program

Grounded in the belief that children are unique gifts from God, we have designed a program in which children are treated with love and respect. Our program is in a relaxed atmosphere in which children have the opportunity to play informal games, enjoy a snack, create projects and crafts, exercise, hear Bible stories and have an opportunity to get a head start on their homework.

Kids in Christ is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services and conveniently located at the Highland Primary School.

OPERATING HOURS and PROGRAM COST

Kids in Christ’s before-school program operates from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. We also offer “a bit before-school” from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at a reduced rate. Kids in Christ’s after-school program operates from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

All children who are in the Highland School District, grades K through 6th, are eligible to attend. Admission to the program is on a first-come/first-serve basis. We accept part-time as well as full-time students.
