Disciple Bible Studies

Disciple Fast Tracks are an adaptation of the original (the traditional), bestselling Disciple Bible Study, they provide a viable option for busy people seeking comprehensive engagement over time with the entire biblical text. Fast Track groups meet for a total of 24 weeks, devoting 12 weeks each to the Old Testament and the New Testament. Participants read a manageable 3-5 chapters of the Bible daily in preparation for the weekly meetings, lasting approx. 75 minutes.

Disciple I Fast Track

This Study takes you through the Bible. Participants have the opportunity to take a spiritual gifts assessment and determine meaningful ways they can serve and live out their discipleship commitment. We will cover both Old and New Teataments, spending 12 weeks on each. Participants will be reading 3-5 chapters per day and attending class once per week.

Disciple II Fast Track–Into the Word, Into the World

Helps readers deepen their understanding of Scripture and make connections between what they already know and what they are reading. Each week you will encounter three spiritual disciplines, learn what they are, and how you can engage those disciplines. The first discipline varies from week to week, then moves into Sabbath and prayer. Each week you will be guided in experiencing the gift of Sabbath rest and renewal. Studying Genesis–Exodus and Luke–Acts. Prerequisite: Disciple I

Disciple III Fast Track–Remember Who You Are

This study examines the connection between memory and identity as the people of God. There are sessions on the Old Testament Major and Minor Prophets (except Daniel). The prophets are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart.” Designed to establish the historical context in which the prophets spoke for God, daily reading assignments draw also on the books of Deuteronomy through Chronicles. Readers will encounter “The Word of the Lord,” with comments on Scripture and amplification of meaning, as well as “Marks of Obedient Community,” which identifies beliefs, attitudes, and actions of the obeying community. “Marks” is the faith response to “Our Human Condition.” Prerequisite: Disciple I.

Disciple Fast Track IV, Under the Tree of Life has not been written yet. We do offer the traditional bible study which is 32 weeks.

Disciple IV–Under the Tree of Life

The study concentrates on Old Testament Writings, the Gospel of John, the Epistles of John, James, Jude, and finally, Revelation. Emphasis on the Psalms as Israel’s hymnbook and prayer book leads naturally to an emphasis on worship in the study. The image of the tree and the color gold emphasize the prod and promise in the Scriptures. The word under in the title is meant to convey invitation, welcome, sheltering, security, and rest – home at last. This study lasts 32 weeks. Prerequisite: Disciple I.
